Sonny is a very classic German Shorthair. he stands 25" at the shoulder and weighs 68 pounds. Sonny has a clam, laid back - easy come, easy go personality which he passes on to his offspring but he is very bold in the field. He has tremendous natural ability and the strongest desire to please of any dog I have ever trained. He is one in a million, my best friend.

Sonny has just begun his show career but it already has proven to be exciting. Sonny won his first class at the Portland Kennel Club AKC Dog Show, going on to take best of breed (puppy), getting to represent the German Shorthair Pointers in the best of the sporting dog group (puppy group).

But more than anything, Sonny would rather be home hunting or chasing a ball!

It's been a lot of fun training and campaigning Sonny in AKC Hunt Tests. Hunt Tests are people who like to roll up their sleeves, get dirty and hunt during the off season! If you're interested in hunt testing your dog email me and I'd be glad to help you get started. Sonny earned 5 straight points to earn his Junior Hunt Title. We're now onto training for his Seniors.
